A regular physical exam is a key to living your best life.
We know that routine healthcare isn’t always convenient.
Getting a physical before you or your kids start playing a sport is one of the most important steps in determining whether or not it’s safe to play. Even if a physical isn’t required, it’s highly recommended that you still schedule a sports physical.
Sports physicals are available any of our nine primary care clinic locations as well as our Pediatrics Office. Each clinic offers extended hours and same-day appointments. That’s just one way Eagles Landing Health provides primary care at the convenience of urgent care.
Similarly to annual physicals, sports physicals may differ from doctor to doctor; however, they generally begin with a discussion of your medical history including illnesses, allergies, medications or past injuries. Your physician will observe your physical appearance, but will focus on your well-being as it relates to your sport, including evaluating your posture, joints, strength and flexibility.
Why ELH for your Sports Physical?
A physical exam is essential to any routine doctor’s visit; however, there is no set formula for how a physical is conducted. Exams may be thorough or brief, depending on patient circumstances and health history. Regardless, our physicians always focus on hearing your concerns or questions– and including you in the process.
We have locations all throughout South Metro Atlanta, and you can choose the one closest to you. And if you visit a new location in the future, we’ll have all of your information available.
Covered by Insurance
The Affordable Care Act requires most commercial insurance plans to provide coverage for preventive care without co-pays, co-insurance or deductibles including annual physical exams, recommended immunizations, and age/risk appropriate screenings such as lab tests, mammograms and colonoscopies.
Quick & Easy
We’ve done thousands of physicals and we can get you in and out quickly. From scheduling to getting your results, we work hard to make the experience as pleasant as possible.

What do I need to do to prepare for a sports physical?
Our team will ask for a list of all medications and a summary of your medical history. Additionally, you shouldn’t eat or drink anything for 8 hours prior to your appointment (water and black coffee are okay).
If I have a sports physical, do I still have to get an annual physical?
Yes, the purpose of a sports physical is to see if you are able to play sports. Annual physicals are more comprehensive.
Does Eagles Landing Family Practice give sports physicals at local schools?
Ask our office, or your school, about dates and locations of remote physicals.
