Celebrating Our 2022 Aylo Health Family Values Award Winners

Each year, Aylo Health  is proud to team up with Positive Athlete Georgia and celebrate the future generation of leaders in the local community that we serve by awarding a male and female student-athlete the Family Values Award. The winners embody the heart of a Positive Athlete and demonstrate the importance of positive family values through their heart to give and leader mentality — all while giving 100% of themselves.

This year, we are honored to celebrate the victories of Ahmad Hicks and Ansley ‘Hope’ Mask on all their success and achievements thus far by awarding them each a $1,000 scholarship. Not only are they exceptional students and athletes, but their drive to love and care for others is what truly sets them apart.

Ahmad Hicks, a senior tennis athlete from Woodland High School consistently works to be a positive influence not only to his teammates but to his peers as well. While he is 10^th in his class among 293, he is seen supporting others, mentoring fellow classmates, encouraging positivity, and challenging other athletes and students to make good choices. Furthermore, while he believes in the power of education, he also strives to stretch himself outside of the classroom. Ahmad is a member and President of the National Honor Society, the National Spanish Honor Society, the National Beta Club, the National English Honor Society, the Student Government Association, and also serves as a Woodland High School Ambassador. Ahmad volunteers at the Dekalb County Food Distribution, Eagles Landing Senior Living Center, and exudes his entrepreneurial spirit through his DJ services for friends and family in his free time.

Hope Mask, a senior track and field athlete at Ola High School has been committed to her academic career and maintains an average GPA of 4.36. She is ranked 22 out of 381 students in her class, and while she excels in the classroom, she loves making time to give back to her community. Hope has completed over 215 hours of community service by volunteering for Wreaths Across America, helping feed those in need through Helping in His Name Food Pantry, mentoring special needs students at Turning Point Church, and mentoring and coaching children in youth softball. She has been recognized by the Georgia Athletic Directors Association, has won the Presidential Award signed by Presidents Barrack Obama and Donald Trump, was selected four times for the All-Scholar Track & Field Team, and was named Ola High School Female Athlete of the Year. Hope’s goal is to become a nurse and plans to attend Shorter University.

Positive Athlete Georgia is a group of high-character professional athletes who have teamed up to promote the benefits of positivity to young athletes around the world. Over 5,000 nominations were received this year in Georgia, and Positive Athlete has awarded over $250,000 in corporately sponsored scholarships in Georgia alone in the past nine years.
